Local F-147 regrets to announce the passing of Phyllis A. Ward, mother of Captain Tommy Ward. Mrs. Ward passed at the age of 84 on November 1st at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Mrs. Ward was a postal clerk for the Adelphia Post Office for over 30 years and was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Adelphia Fire Station for over 70 years.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Service on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, 252 Wyckoff Mills Road, Adelphia. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Phyllis’ name may be made to the Adelphia Firehouse Ladies Auxiliary, Adelphia Road, P.O. Box 312, Adelphia 07710. Local F-147 will be hosting a retirement luncheon to celebrate Jeff Fowler's 34+ years of Government service on November 16th, from 1300 to 1600 at the mainside fire station. All food and drinks will be provided by Local F-147.

IAFF Local F-147 regrets to announce the passing of Captain Arthur K. Daly Jr. age 83 passed away on Friday August 2, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was born in Neptune and lived there and in W. Belmar most of his life.

IAFF Local F-147 regrets to announce the passing of Chief Donald L. Henry, Sr., age 80 of Howell, and formerly of Long Branch, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Born in Perth Amboy he had lived in Long Branch before moving to Howell 4 years ago. Affectingly known as “Dink”, he retired as the Fire Chief from the Naval Weapon Station Earle in 1993. IAFF Local F-147 regrets to announce the passing of Joanne (Josie) Odom, wife of former Local F-147 member Bill Odom. Joanne passed on April 23rd after a lifetime of service to others. Visitation will be on April 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 at John P. Condon Funeral Home, 804 Rt 36 in Leonardo NJ. Funeral service will be on April 30th at 11:00 am at St Agnes Catholic Church, 103 Center Ave, Atlantic Highlands NJ.
